Dance: Wonderbound dances Tchaikovsky in Denver

Saturday. Tchaikovsky is a major test for all choreographers, and every notable dance maker seems to have taken on the composer over time. This weekend, Garret Ammon shows his vision with a performance by his company, Wonderbound, at Boettcher Concert Hall. Ammon has chosen the big hitters, creating movement for “Serenade for Strings,” plus excerpts from “Swan Lake” and “Sleeping Beauty.” His musical accompaniment comes from the Colorado Symphony, and he’s staging it all in their house, not a usual place for dance.
